The village of Munti Gunung is one of Bali’s most socially and economically deprived villages and is located on the Isle of Bali high on the steep slopes of Mt Batur in the remote north east region of Bali.
The village of Munti-Gunnung approached Building beyond Borders of the need to have a building built so the villagers had somewhere for the traveling doctor and nurses to attend the sick when they visited the village and could also be utilized to cook meals for the elderly and infirm so Building beyond Borders incorporated gas cookers in the design.
